The Waiting...

You know it’s coming, the good and the bad,

But waiting and wondering can make us so sad.

Everything changes when the waiting is done,

So we constantly pray for the best outcome.

No need to be scared, no need to be afraid,

God knows what is coming; He’s already made a way.

Still, I don’t like the feeling, I don’t like it at all,

Not knowing what’s coming, just waiting for the call.

So, we sit and we wait, knowing the time will come,

When we’ll have to walk, though we may want to run.

Everything may change, and life may feel different,

But God will comfort us as we pray and listen.

I guess it will make sense as we ponder what happened,

Did we stop to smell the roses, or just start packing?

Did we cherish our time, or let it go to waste?

Did we slow down and trust God instead of moving in haste?

I'm sure there is a purpose in every delay,

God was preparing our hearts along the way.

For even when we question why He asks us to wait,

We must trust in His timing, His purpose...and His grace.
